Data Lead (Canada)

CSC Generation is seeking a Data Lead to join their team in a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will own the analytical layer between raw data and business decisions, building trusted, reconciled data assets that business teams can act on confidently.

Responsibilities:

• Write, review, and debug SQL and Python code to build and maintain analytical data models across the portfolio.
• Design and maintain semantic layers and reusable data models in BI tools.
• Integrate and reconcile data across multiple systems and business units.
• Validate data rigorously and spot results that look plausible but are wrong.
• Scope and assess technical feasibility, effort, and trade-offs for new data requests.
• Define KPIs and translate business questions into analytical approaches.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, coding, and documentation.
• Partner with data engineering, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver insights and maintain data quality.

Requirements:

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and data modeling.
• Familiarity with ERP and web analytics data sources.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
• Experience integrating and reconciling data across multiple systems.
• Rigorous approach to data validation and governance.
• Proficiency with at least one modern BI tool.
• Fluency with AI coding and analysis tools.
• Strong business acumen with experience defining KPIs.
