Commercial Counsel, EMEA

Stripe is looking for a Commercial Counsel to join its EMEA commercial legal team in Paris.

As a core member of the Commercial Legal team, you will build strategic relationships with regional sales leaders and act as a force multiplier, directly influencing Stripe's growth in EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Support the EMEA sales team, leading negotiations and advising on commercial and legal issues
• Develop and maintain Stripe's commercial legal infrastructure to scale and operate efficiently
• Collaborate with teams across Stripe, including sales, privacy, operations, product, tax, and risk groups
• Develop and deliver training and resources to help the Sales team sell Stripe's products
• Be a point of escalation for outside counsel

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a lawyer in-house or in a technology practice group in a top law firm
• Intellectually curious and creative problem solver with a bias for action
• Clear and concise communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Natural collaborator able to guide cross-functional teams
• Familiar with legal issues and commercial risks related to hosted data and technology services
• High professional fluency in French and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in payment or fintech industries and knowledge of associated regulatory issues
• In-house experience advising high-growth technology companies
• Working knowledge of relevant data protection and AI regulations
