Join the Brands Team at NEXT as an Assistant Merchandiser, playing a vital role in fostering relationships with external brands across Womenwear, Menswear, and Kidswear. You will be the face of NEXT to our partners, navigating the commercial lifecycle, ensuring brands thrive on our platform, and stock stays fluid.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Build influential working relationships with brands, ensuring new partners are onboarded and aligned with operational processes.
- Strategic Planning: Provide strategic phasing advice, sales projections, and quantity guidelines to maximise full-price sell-through and minimise terminal stock.
- Insight & Product Opportunity: Identify product-level opportunities using market research, competitor shopping, and internal data.
- Financial Forecasting & Stock Management: Ensure sales, profit, intake, markdown, and RTB figures are realistic, achievable, and strategically aligned.
Requirements
- Great Communication Skills: Prepare clear and engaging presentations for internal meetings and brand partner discussions.
- Solid Technical Merchandising Skills: Analyse data, forecast sales, and ensure accuracy in merchandise systems and contract negotiations.
