Senior Game Designer - EA SPORTS™ NHL

Electronic Arts seeks a Senior Game Designer for its EA SPORTS NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will lead a pod of designers to deliver high-quality experiences across defined areas of the product.

The Senior Game Designer will report to the Game Design Director and manage a team of designers. Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end ownership of features from inception to completion
• Clear communication of feature vision and mechanics to cross-functional teams and leadership
• Iterative design and championing a culture of prototyping and iteration
• Team leadership, mentoring, and growth of designers
• Design excellence and participation in design reviews
• Adoption of AI and automation foundations to drive evolutionary changes in game construction
• Adaptable and utilitarian design approach
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Production, Audio, Art, UI/UX, and Engineering
• Data-informed vision, analyzing real-world sports broadcasts, market trends, and player behavior

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Game Designer working on console/AAA game development
• Direct experience in personnel management, coaching, and developing design talent
• Demonstrated ability as a highly motivated self-starter
• Familiarity with adopting AI foundations or automation logic
• Familiarity with data-driven design methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
