Grade 7 Math Teacher (26-27 SY)

Challenge Preparatory Charter School is seeking a Grade 7 Math Teacher for the 26-27 school year. The teacher will deliver exceptional instruction and assess student growth, creating academically rigorous and culturally relevant lesson plans, materials, and assessments.

Responsibilities include:

• Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the progress of all students
• Create and execute lesson plans that focus on conceptual understanding and assess student mastery
• Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons daily
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including scholars, families, and staff
• Collaborate with colleagues to create and refine schoolwide and classroom-based systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education or mathematics-related field
• New York State Teaching Certification
• Strong understanding of middle school-level mathematics
• Experience working with middle school-aged children
