Description
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will work in an outpatient setting, primarily at Murray Co. Medical Center in Slayton, with some work in Tracy.
The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing, monitoring, and recording therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, and developmental impairments
- Selecting, implementing, and modifying therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels and patient goals
- Exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses and communications during intervention
- Being knowledgeable about patient-targeted physical therapy outcomes and providing information and documentation related to outcome achievement
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
We offer a competitive salary range of $37.50 - $52.00 per hour, a $30,000 sign-on bonus, and a range of benefits including free fitness membership.
