Global Mobility & International Employment Manager f/m/d

As Global Mobility & International Employment Manager (f/m/d), you enable international collaboration across the AVL Group by developing compliant and business-oriented employment solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Advising on international assignments, permanent transfers, business travel, remote work, and multi-country employment arrangements
• Assessing tax, social security, immigration, and permanent establishment risks in cross-border employment scenarios and developing compliant, business-oriented solutions
• Designing and evaluating international employment models, including source taxation, A1 certificates, shadow payroll, split payroll, and multi-country employment structures
• Supporting executives, managing directors, and senior leaders in complex international mobility and employment matters
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors across HR, Payroll, Legal, Tax, and Finance
• Managing and coordinating tax, social security, payroll, immigration, and employment law aspects of cross-border employment
• Ensuring compliance with global regulations and corporate policies, supporting audits and reviews, and monitoring legislative developments
• Further developing processes, standards, and governance frameworks within Global Mobility and International Employment

Requirements:

• Completed education (University or University of Applied Sciences, or comparable) with a focus on Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Business Law, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in Global Mobility, International Employment, International HR, or International Tax
• Strong expertise in international assignments, transfers, and payroll tax, combined with a good understanding of cross-border employment models and compliance risks
• Ability to analyze complex international employment scenarios, identify risks, and develop practical, compliant, and business-oriented solutions
• Experience advising executives and senior management in international environments is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
• Confident communication style and ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
• Business-fluent German and English
