Data Scientist (Product Analytics)

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, offering various services such as food delivery, financial management, and ride-hailing.

You will be part of the Fulfilment Tech Family, responsible for platform effectiveness and reliability through optimizations across supply planning, dispatch strategy, pricing, driver experiences, and efficiency.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

• Transform requirements into concise data requirements, identify trends, spot anomalies, build insights through dashboards and presentations to create comprehensive views for decision-making.
• Develop data pipelines and custom data science models to solve identified problems.
• Create data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with product and engineering teams to design experiments that inform important product decisions.
• Design data specifications for new products, ensuring accurate data collection.
• Launch A/B and timeslice experiments, analyse results, and provide relevant recommendations.
• Conduct targeted analysis for specific products and operations, to find new business/product opportunities, define critical business metrics, and track them rigorously.
• Work with partners to scope problems and enhance internal processes through automation.
• Build existing AI tools and capabilities to enhance overall productivity for the Analytics function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 or more years in data-related or quantitative fields.
• Fluent in SQL, Python, R, or other scripting/programming languages.
• Statistical knowledge: hands-on experience running and analysing controlled experiments, turning data into relevant insights.
• Ability to help narrow down multiple options into the best approach, and take ownership of open-ended ambiguous business problems.
• Skills in designing experiments, data visualisation, and storytelling.
• Ability to create intuitive and impactful dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau.
• Ability to guide teams to advise senior partners.
