As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be an expert in operations, process, and efficiency, enabling a consistent experience for our guests. Your main priority will be to ensure a great guest experience while completing tasks that ensure product is available and easy to shop.
Responsibilities:
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Greet guests, help them find what they need, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
- Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve business goals
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
- Learn and execute operational procedures to manage product accuracy and stock levels
- Follow all Target policies and safety procedures
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes
Requirements:
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
