Description
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $23.50, with a full pay range of $21.50 - $36.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labour markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
As a Service and Engagement Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading a team of hourly team members. Your main objectives will be to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience, drive loyalty programs, and ensure consistent operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consistently delivering guest experience commitments
- Ensuring every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments
- Actively observing and providing feedback to team members
- Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
- Demonstrating inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches
- Leading a team of passionate and knowledgeable Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants
- Supporting Target Loyalty Programs and promoting benefits and features to guests
- Developing and coaching team members to drive proficiencies
- Personalizing recognition and appreciation for team members
- Leading a culture of accountability and performance management
- Responding to guest concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ensuring team members stay up-to-date on upcoming promotions, brand launches, and events
- Evaluating candidates for open positions and developing a guest-centric team
- Supporting merchandise protection strategies and physical security processes
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience, although not required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
