Description

The Seed Account Manager - newgold is a strategic, field-facing role responsible for driving the successful regional launch and commercial expansion of camelina through the newgold network in Montana.

This individual leads account partnerships, facilitates farmer education, monitors crop performance in the field, supports biofuel pathway certification, and captures key learnings to scale , all in close collaboration with newgold agents and Bayer internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Agronomy

  • Create, coordinate, and execute all agent training , via in-person and virtual formats , to ensure strong customer service and support of newgold seed.
  • Develop and execute farmer education sessions promoting newgold seed benefits and best agronomic practices.
  • Visit farmers and fields to provide agronomic support and capture learnings for product development.
  • Collaborate with local Bayer teams and newgold agents.
  • Support digital data capture for biofuel pathway compliance.

Account Management

  • Identify, assess, recruit, and onboard newgold agents.
  • Drive adoption of newgold seed with farmers.
  • Conduct annual business planning with agents.
  • Monitor agent performance.
  • Sell and promote newgold seed to achieve targets.
  • Provide annual sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with local Bayer sales teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Agronomic knowledge of crops grown in the Northern Great Plains.
  • Sales or account management experience with a proven track record of achieving commercial goals.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership.
  • Ability to balance Bayer and customer needs.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Account management skills with big-picture understanding and creative problem-solving.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Montana.
  • Valid Driver’s license and eligibility to drive a company car.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales and technical agronomic knowledge of camelina.
  • 6 years of relevant professional commercial experience; OR 4 years of relevant professional commercial experience plus a Master’s or PhD Degree.

Compensation:

  • Salary between $152,900-180,400.
  • Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission.
  • Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
