Composite Technician, First Shift

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

We are seeking a Composite Technician to collaborate with the design and integration teams developing AI-controlled aerospace structures at our Morrisville, NC location.

Responsibilities

• Cut, lay-up, fabricate, cure, and assemble various types of composite products and assemblies.
• Exercise basic knowledge of the physical properties of materials such as thermosets, thermoplastics, and composites.
• Locate critical reference points and assure coordination of parts and subassemblies to exacting tolerances.
• Build laminated assemblies by determining proper placement and laying up composite plies and adhesives.
• Prepare parts for bagging and check seals on completed bagged parts for leaks.
• Set up assemblies and parts in processing and curing equipment.
• Operate oven controls to obtain and maintain proper temperature, pressure, and time cycle.
• Correct defects as required.

Required Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Composite Fabrication or equivalent experience.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally.
• Polished communication and presentation skills.
• A bias towards action.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
