As a Machine Operator I, you will be responsible for the basic operation of custom machinery within the manufacturing area. This role requires developed technical skills, analytical skills, and knowledge to operate custom and automated equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Understand potential hazards and safe equipment operating practices in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarize yourself with quality systems and guidelines that impact your area of responsibility
- Identify equipment deficiencies and component defects to ensure adherence to quality guidelines
- Operate process test equipment to ensure process outputs conform to specified requirements
- Perform basic operation of custom machinery, including general machine operation, line balancing, loading assembly and packaging equipment with components, preventive maintenance, and cleaning
- Collaborate with cross-functional staff, including production team members, QA, Maintenance, and Engineering staff members
- Provide guidance and training to lower-level production personnel, including other Machine Operators
- Perform electrical and mechanical adjustments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
- 1 year of experience in the basic operation of 25% of the plant's automated assembly/packaging equipment or equivalent

The hourly wage for this position is $20.68. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation.
