PRN Physical Therapist

Sanford Health is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to work with our Good Samaritan locations in Albert Lea and Austin, MN.

As a PRN Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help patients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for patients affected by injury or disease
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards
• Document patient information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
• Educate patients and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises
• Demonstrate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of patients
• Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders
• Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization
• Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules and assignments
• Participate in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students as needed
• Provide ongoing education and training to peers

Qualifications:

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
• Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
