Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking locum GP for one day a week (2 sessions) on a Wednesday. As a locum GP, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of clinical duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries.
The successful candidate will be able to make professional decisions in relation to presenting problems, assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
The practice is a friendly and hard-working organisation providing high-quality healthcare to patients in the heart of Knightsbridge. We have a team of 5 GPs, 1 trainee, 2 practice nurses, a healthcare assistant, and pharmacists.
The salary for this role is £760 per day.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and other clinical duties
- Make professional decisions in relation to presenting problems
- Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Work as a team member with all relevant providers of primary and community care services
- Participate in practice audits and reviews of significant events
Requirements:
- Qualified GP
- Inclusion in the GMC Register
- On the PCSE Medical Performers List
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of methods of developing clinical quality assurance and evidence-based practice
- Evidence of up-to-date knowledge and skills
