Description
Join the BBC's Technology & Media Operations team as a SAP Principal Systems Engineer-Reporting. You'll influence strategy and drive innovation across finance platforms, focusing on SAP and partner solutions. You'll contribute to delivering and managing complex technical changes and optimising systems to maximise value and align with BBC business goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working within the Data Analytics, Planning and Consolidation team to combine business understanding, SAP expertise, and data engineering skills
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, offering support and influence focused on best practice and achievable goals
- Partnering with data owners and stewards to modernise reporting capabilities, optimise existing solutions, and support strategic transformation initiatives
- Working with outsourced technology partners and vendors to resolve incidents
- Contributing to a technical roadmap for systems and services
- Coordinating small to medium technical changes and acting as a trusted team member for larger projects
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in data extraction, modelling, transformation, and reporting in SAP
- Experience with SAP functions such as SAP FI, CO, SD, HR, Intercompany, Tax, Procurement, Financial Statement, and Financial Planning and Consolidation processes
- Ability to provide guidance to technical and functional stakeholders and translate project requirements into technical solutions
- Experience reviewing technical and functional documentation and identifying areas for improvement
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
The proposed salary range for this role is £70,000 - £80,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
