Description
Join the High Power Engineering team at SpaceXAI to design, build, operate, and maintain electrical infrastructure for AI training campuses. As a Network Engineer on the Battery Storage team, you will work on-site in Memphis, TN, with potential travel to other sites.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage the operational technology network for the storage fleet, ensuring deterministic, redundant, and secure communication.
- Develop and implement site network architecture, including topology, redundancy, switch selection, VLAN and subnet design, and IP addressing.
- Oversee the fiber and copper physical plant, including single-mode and multimode runs, splice plans, and patch panel layout.
- Integrate industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, and IEC 61850.
- Implement precision time distribution using PTP and IRIG-B.
- Ensure OT cybersecurity through segmentation, firewall rules, and patch management.
- Commission industrial switches, media converters, and other devices.
- Support commissioning with network validation and testing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of industrial, utility, or operational technology network engineering experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience with industrial switches and routers.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, or IEC 61850.
- Fiber optic termination, testing, and troubleshooting experience.
- BESS, solar, or substation automation network experience.

- Ability to work in various environments and conditions.
- Extended work hours and weekend work as needed.
- 24/7 on-call support for emergencies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
