Description
We are seeking an Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Specialist to support department and plant environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability performance programs. The successful candidate will lead department and plant environmental communication and collaboration, develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and drive improvements in environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead department and plant environmental communication and collaboration
- Develop and implement department and plant processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Develop, manage, and implement departmental Environmental Business Plan themes and projects
- Develop energy, water, and waste reduction targets and implement countermeasures
- Draft and implement department and plant environmental procedures and methods
- Serve as liaison between department and plant environmental teams
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs
- Support development and deployment of environmental data management systems
- Coordinate assigned contractor Scope(s) of Work (SOWs)
- Perform and document environmental compliance activities
- Conduct performance assessments related to energy, water, waste, and environmental data
- Coordinate and implement timely department countermeasures addressing environmental audit & compliance gaps
- Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team
- Implement innovative solutions to drive improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 0-4 years of environmental, sustainability, compliance, or related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead projects
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and flexibility
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving abilities
