Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to own the product for how 50,000+ employees across multiple countries get, use, and are supported on their devices, with a focus on the mobile estate: iOS and Android, corporate-owned and BYOD.
The Senior Product Owner will own the vision, backlog, and outcomes, deciding what gets built and why, in what order, and being accountable for whether it actually improved anything. Success is measured in adoption, effort saved, and experience improved.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and articulate the product vision for end-user services and mobile device management
- Maintain a rolling roadmap that balances new capability, technical debt, security, and compliance obligations, and experience improvement
- Translate the EUC strategy and architecture direction into a sequenced, deliverable product backlog
- Own the business case and benefits realization for product investment
- Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog as the single source of truth for the squad
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from and testers can verify
- Lead sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospective alongside the Scrum Master
- Manage dependencies across adjacent squads
- Own the release and change approach for user-visible change
- Be the voice of the employee in every prioritization conversation
- Run continuous discovery with the populations who are least like head office
- Convert digital experience telemetry and service desk data into prioritized, root-cause-addressing backlog items
- Own adoption and define what good adoption looks like before launch
- Own the product for the mobile estate, including enrollment and provisioning experience, BYOD vs. corporate-owned models, app catalog, and distribution
- Manage the mobile OS release cycle as a recurring product event
- Own the product relationship with mobile carriers, MDM platform vendors, and app suppliers
- Build and maintain relationships across business units, regions, and functions
- Partner with Cyber Security to land control changes in ways employees will accept and comply with
- Engage works councils, employee representatives, and Privacy where mobile telemetry, BYOD, or device monitoring is in scope
- Report on product performance to senior stakeholders in outcome terms
Professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience
- Product ownership certifications desirable (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), ITIL v4 Foundation, Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate)
Area of specialization:
- Product ownership at scale for end-user services and mobile device management
- Mobile estate strategy across iOS and Android, corporate-owned and BYOD
- Digital employee experience and service-desk-driven product improvement
Related experience required:
- Overall 15 years and 12+ years in technology delivery, including 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Product or service ownership serving 10,000+ users across multiple countries
- Demonstrable hands-on product experience in end-user computing, digital workplace, or mobile device management
- Sustained experience owning a backlog for a cross-functional agile squad
- Track record of using user research and quantitative telemetry to drive prioritization
- A demonstrable product outcome delivered and measured
- Proven ability to manage senior and conflicting stakeholders
- Fluent English
- Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 10-15% of the time
