This role sits within Health Sustainability & Integrated Care Strategy and acts as a key bridge between analytics, actuarial, claims, product, provider management, finance, operations, IT, and regulatory stakeholders.

The role is expected to translate health portfolio data into clear performance insights, support financial forecasting and monitoring, and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve profitability, sustainability, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health Performance Analytics: Analyze health portfolio performance using advanced analytical techniques to identify claims trends, cost drivers, rating factors, customer behavior, utilization patterns, and profitability indicators; translate findings into concise business insights and recommended actions.
  • Portfolio Monitoring & Business Review: Support regular monitoring of health business performance, including claims ratio, loss ratio, medical inflation, product experience, provider trends, and emerging risks; prepare structured insights for management review and decision-making.
  • Financial Forecasting & Planning Support: Develop and support financial forecasts, claims projections, and scenario analysis by integrating actuarial, analytics, claims, enrolment, utilization, and regulatory assumptions to support sustainable health growth and profitability.
  • Strategic Planning & Initiative Support: Contribute analytics and business performance insights to health strategic initiatives, business plans, repricing, provider management, cost containment, product proposition, and integrated care priorities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration, Governance & Regional Support: Work with actuarial, underwriting, finance, claims, product, provider management, operations, IT, compliance, and regional teams to ensure analytics outputs are aligned, well-governed, clearly documented, and translated into implementable business actions.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in health insurance/takaful, actuarial analytics, portfolio performance, claims analytics, financial forecasting, business planning, or healthcare data analytics, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior specialist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of health portfolio performance, claims ratio, loss ratio, medical cost drivers, risk-based pricing, predictive modelling, and financial projection methodologies. Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modelling, dashboarding, and analytical tools; knowledge of Generalized Linear Models or actuarial modelling will be an advantage. Strong understanding of regulatory, governance, and compliance considerations relating to health insurance/takaful and actuarial/analytics reporting.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into business actions.
  • Results-oriented, detail-driven, and able to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines while supporting cross-functional and regional initiatives.
