Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of six experienced engineers distributed across Europe. The successful candidate will set the technical direction, ensure the team delivers high-impact work, and invest deeply in the growth and careers of their engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a team of six experienced engineers, focusing on coaching, career development, and creating an environment for peak performance.
• Ensure the team delivers high-impact work, setting clear priorities, healthy execution, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to shape the roadmap for event delivery and privacy infrastructure.
• Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for large-scale data systems.
• Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
• Manage on-call health, operational excellence, and reliability for the team's services.
• Participate actively in hiring, onboarding, and growing the team's capabilities.

Who You Are

• Experienced in managing teams of senior engineers, with a strong focus on people leadership.
• Proven track record of investing in engineers' careers through development conversations and growth opportunities.
• Comfortable with distributed data systems, event-driven architectures, or large-scale data infrastructure.
• Hold yourself and your team accountable for outcomes, not just activity.
• Effective communicator, able to build trust across functions and time zones.
• Experience working with distributed teams and creating cohesion and inclusion remotely.
• Excited about the potential of AI and LLMs to transform engineering team workflows.

Where You’ll Be

• Based in London, with flexibility to work from home and occasional in-person meetings.
