Description
This role is part of the Product Development department, which supports an innovative and collaborative atmosphere. You will be responsible for target setting, design, and development of High Level Control Strategies (HLCS) for active and semi-active systems affecting vehicle dynamics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the link between the Dynamics attribute team and the Controls development team
- Conducting concept work in a simulation environment for the evaluation of different strategies in line with vehicle dynamics performance indexes
- Co-designing rapid prototyping software together with the Controls Department
- Creating a Matlab/Simulink high-level controller
- Implementing model-based control approaches through Vi-Car Real Time
- Running functional simulations and sensitivity analyses for definition of software requirements
Requirements:
- Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering degree with excellent knowledge and understanding of vehicle dynamics and controls
- Experience in Dynamics Controls at a direct OEM or automotive supplier
- Expert-level knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
- Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation environments, such as VI Car Real Time
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals, control system design, and tuning
