Assistant Manager, Manufacturing Quality Engineering

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Manufacturing Quality Engineering at our facility in Tallapoosa, Georgia.

The successful candidate will lead, create, and implement innovative technical activities and solutions in the areas of company/department Business Plan, New Model, and Mass Production to efficiently meet or exceed Safety, Environmental, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SEQDCM) characteristics targets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing skills in all aspects of manufacturing from mechanical, electrical, and controls viewpoint to fully understand equipment and processes requirements.
• Providing leadership to reports representing Honda Philosophy with honest, fair, and consistent treatment and communication.
• Leading daily equipment downtime, quality, safety, and efficiency concerns to achieve department SQP KPIs.
• Designing concepts and equipment solution methods to meet the technical requirements established by PDCA analysis, Business Plan, or New Model projects.
• Providing leadership and support for Technical Engineering and Equipment Service Associates.
• Creating and managing manpower, expense, and investment budgets and schedules required for the needed equipment designs to support PDCA, Business Plan, or New Model activity cost targets and project deadlines.
• Supporting quality and process activity plans for Equipment confirmations to ensure a spike-less effect on production after implementation.
• Leading and supporting technical training and development of Eng, ES, and PS staff.
• Maintaining a high level of safety for oneself and Department associates from an equipment viewpoint.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A BS in Mech/Elec/Industrial Engineering or related experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Leadership and planning/organization skills.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• High technical knowledge and manufacturing experience.
