Principal Systems Engineer - Assistant Vice President - Critical Services Delivery (Linux/Windows) - 12 months Contract

The Critical Services Delivery team at HKEX is responsible for designing and building IT infrastructure for core mission-critical systems. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will work closely with the Critical Service Delivery Lead in managing critical IT solutions implementation and provide IT technology expertise and guidance to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with internal and external parties on IT solutions design, planning, and execution.
• Track project deliverables timeline and exceptions.
• Compile project and technical documents such as project plans, technical specifications, and test reports.
• Collaborate with the InfoSec/infrastructure engineering and support teams to adopt modern technologies, such as multi-cloud and container orchestration, to enhance manageability.
• Enhance internal processes by adopting automation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information System, or IT-related disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux and/or Windows server administration, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
• Knowledge in other infrastructure systems such as private cloud, backup, and storage is a plus.
• Willing to work on weekends for server setup and testing.
• Good team player with aspirations for IT management career development in the top-tier financial industry.
