Case Manager in Training

At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. We're a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting people's rights against insurance companies, large corporations, and defective goods.

This role will work as a floater in our office, training and supporting several attorneys and case staff on rotation. The goal is to train for an eventual move to a highly sought Case Manager position. You will earn $20/hour with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Shadow Case Managers and learn from them
• Order medical records from providers efficiently
• Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers under the direct supervision of an attorney
• Investigate the nature and facts of cases thoroughly
• Learn to negotiate deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers effectively
• Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Insurance Adjuster, or Support Role, preferably in a law firm setting or corporate legal department
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail with a positive attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills
• Willingness to learn and work with multiple employees within our organization
• Extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and typing at least 35 wpm
