Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Game Maker to join its EA SPORTS Academy in a hybrid Producer/Project Manager track. This 12-month immersive experience will provide the knowledge, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to build the foundation for the next generation of EA SPORTS Producers and Project Managers.
The Game Maker is a hybrid, entry-level leadership role that combines creative feature ownership with project planning and execution. This role will support the delivery of high-quality game features from concept to launch while ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of key features or game areas from concept through launch
- Partner with Design and Creative leadership to define feature vision, player value, and success criteria
- Apply systems tradeoff thinking to evaluate scope, cost, risk, quality, and timeline implications
- Contribute to product decisions that balance player experience with execution realities
- Ensure feature quality aligns with franchise standards and player expectations
- Help to establish clear goals and delivery plans aligned to overall franchise milestones
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules based on team estimates
- Manage dependencies and remove delivery blockers
- Communicate progress, challenges, and priorities with your team
- Ensure alignment between scope, timelines, quality targets, and available resources
- Support a collaborative culture that achieves outcomes
- Lead teams through change, shifting priorities, and evolving production realities
- Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs transparently to leadership and partners
- Build strong working relationships across disciplines and external partners
- Represent your area of ownership in franchise-level planning discussions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Previous project management or team leadership experience is an asset
- Experience in different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile is an asset
- A passion for video games, particularly EA SPORTS titles, is a strong asset
- You have an interest in, or experience with, American Football - whether recreationally or competitively
