As a Senior Accountant, Debt Accounting, you will own the monthly and quarterly debt accounting close process, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and debt issuance-cost tracking, and support the debt rollforward and footnote disclosures for external financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to debt facilities
  • Record cash receipts and payments related to debt activity and track and accrue debt issuance costs
  • Confirm payment postings align with bank remittances
  • Prepare monthly debt account reconciliations and cash account reconciliations tied to debt activities
  • Investigate and clear reconciling items on a timely basis
  • Prepare the quarterly debt rollforward schedule and draft footnote disclosure language for financial statements
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for key debt-related SOX controls and complete control testing evidence packages
  • Respond to internal and external auditor requests related to debt accounting as needed
  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to derivatives and hedging programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of general accounting experience; debt, treasury, or corporate accounting experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP as it relates to debt accounting
  • Strong reconciliation and account analysis skills, with the ability to research and clear discrepancies independently
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet recurring monthly and quarterly close deadlines
  • Experience supporting SOX control documentation and testing
  • Experience collaborating with auditors, treasury, and cross-functional accounting and finance teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NetSuite experience
  • Experience in a high-growth or pre/post-IPO environment

We offer a competitive salary range of $98,000 to $130,000, a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
