Software Engineer, Web3 Backend

As a Software Engineer, you'll build and own backend services, infrastructure, and data systems that support Robinhood's next-generation crypto, web3, and wallet offerings.

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services and infrastructure across Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform systems, with correctness and auditability as hard requirements.
• Build the connective tissue between traditional market infrastructure (brokerage, ledgers, corporate actions) and on-chain systems, including smart contract integrations, chain indexers, and DEX trade flows.
• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate closely with product, compliance, client, platform teams, and external partners to deliver impactful technical solutions.

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with a solid grasp of cloud-native architectures.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Care for correctness-critical systems,idempotency, reconciliation, and reasoning carefully about failure modes when money is at stake.
• Strong ownership mindset, with a track record of delivering high-quality projects end to end in cross-functional environments and raising team-wide technical standards.
• Proven ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
• Interest in blockchain fundamentals,EVM, smart contracts, wallets, on-chain settlement,or a strong appetite to go deep quickly.
