Description
The Financial Accounting Squad builds the core services that power accounting, financial reconciliation, ledger management, financial controls, and regulatory reporting across the Pismo platform. Operating at the heart of a mission-critical financial ecosystem, the team ensures financial accuracy, auditability, compliance, and scalability of accounting processes that support millions of financial transactions.
You will develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend services using Java and Go, deployed on AWS. You will deliver clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented code aligned with the squad's technical strategy and business objectives. You will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure backend services
- Delivering clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented code
- Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Designing and implementing accounting and financial processing solutions
- Building and evolving event-driven architectures
- Writing and maintaining automated tests
- Provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Monitoring critical financial workflows
- Participating in code reviews
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Accounting Specialists, Finance teams, and Engineering peers
- Contributing to the continuous evolution of the accounting platform
- Supporting incident response activities
- Taking part in architectural discussions
- Staying up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, accounting concepts, and modern software engineering practices
This is a remote position based in Brazil.
