Description
We are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our team at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and manage patients with various musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions. They will formulate individualised treatment plans, use therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with various conditions
- Formulating individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
- Using therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education
- Collaborating closely with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning
- Referring patients to other services where required
- Managing your own caseload efficiently across inpatient and/or outpatient settings
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification)
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
