Description
Adyen is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join their Group Finance team in Amsterdam.
This role involves implementing changes in how the company closes its books and controls financial data, with the goal of achieving an autonomous close with minimal human involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the change: own the roadmap to an autonomous close, define steps, milestones, and measures of success, and deliver them
- Design and deliver the change with FinOps and Financial Data Teams using automation and AI tooling
- Run the change end-to-end: project and programme management, stakeholder alignment, and change management
- Build continuous insight on areas that matter most for control: define monitoring and validation checks
- Keep the control environment intact while automating: ensure accounting data stays accurate, valid, and complete
- Run and control the close: partner with Tax and FinOps teams, own the monthly consolidated P&L one pager, review and approve balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting, and external audit
- Proven track record of implementing change in a finance or accounting environment
- Track record in process optimization and automation
- Experience with ERP systems, data, and AI tooling
- Strong IFRS knowledge and experience working with external auditors
- Strong stakeholder skills
- Analytical mindset, proactive, and able to work independently
