Description
We are seeking a Senior Staff Applications Engineer (Electronics Thermal Management) to join our team at Synopsys. As a passionate engineering professional, you will work with customers to understand their electronics cooling challenges and develop simulation solutions using Ansys tools such as Fluent, Icepak, or Mechanical.
You will lead technical engagement throughout the sales cycle, deploy Ansys simulation solutions, and integrate them into customer design processes. Additionally, you will test new Ansys releases, document best practices, and create application notes that get used across the customer base.
As a Senior Staff Applications Engineer, you will partner with product development teams to translate customer feedback into feature requests, workflow improvements, and product roadmap priorities. You will also deliver training sessions and consulting engagements that help customers get more out of Ansys tools.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a specialized focus on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). You should have experience with Ansys tools and be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:
- MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years in engineering software environments
- At least 4 years in application engineering, customer support, or consulting roles
- Strong technical grounding in fluid mechanics, CFD, and thermodynamics
- Proficiency with Ansys tools such as Fluent, Icepak, or Mechanical
