Senior Machine Operator

Valvoline Global Operations, an affiliate of Aramco, is seeking a Senior Machine Operator. The successful candidate will lead a small team on a production line, operating and interacting with packaging equipment in a production environment.

The senior operator will be responsible for:

• Operating with a safety-first mindset while leading the team
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Coordinating weekly Gemba meetings and communicating priorities with management
• Processing paperwork in SAP and on production schedules
• Ensuring all quality standards are met, including checking first piece on inbound packaging components, some in-process testing of materials, and communication with the lab team
• Operating equipment up to efficiency standards, including depalletizes, case conveyers, case packers, fillers, carton erecters, palletizers, wrappers, etc.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and PITs
• Maintaining 5S standards through continuous cleaning of the area while the plant is operating
• Coordinating shift hand-offs
• Communicating with the maintenance team
• Maintaining cross-training on multiple pieces of equipment
• Staying up-to-date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainings
• Manual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouches/bags, and cleaning of equipment
• Employees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards that include control of hazardous energy, LOTO, and fortress keys
• Employees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs, which include but are not limited to PPE, ergonomics, PIT, and safety/environmental programs

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in high-speed manufacturing such as consumer products or food and beverage
• Basic computer skills
• A positive attitude
• Previous experience communicating with and leading small teams
• Ability to coach employees and drive teams for results
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SAP/WMS experience is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Working conditions include:

• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, walk up and down stairs, stand and squat multiple times throughout the shift
• Must be able to hear and see safety devices and warnings
• Environment: Mostly indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment (hot summers, cold winters)
