Description
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biffa Waste Services in Rotherham. As an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for primarily electrical maintenance inspections and routine repairs within all areas of the site to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime events on critical assets.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair running faults efficiently
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance practices
- Perform plant upgrades and modifications to the required standards
- Report work carried out through a computerized maintenance management system
- Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime
- Anticipate machine failures and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Ensure SHEQ standards are strictly maintained
- Assist the maintenance department in identifying annual lifecycle requirements and preparing capital applications
Our Essential Requirements:
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, magnet belts, and eddy current separators
- Recognised Apprenticeship, Electrical bias Multi Skilled Engineer with relevant qualifications ONC/BTEC NVQ 3 discipline level (Elec Bias)
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulation Qualifications
- Experience working on single and 3-phase AC and DC systems
- IT literate and comfortable using business software and systems
- Experience of FMCG type environment
Salary: £48,048.00 per annum, 4 on/4 off (days & nights) – 12 hours (6am – 6pm/6pm – 6am), Overtime paid at 1.5 times
