As a Target Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in keeping our guests, team, and brand secure and leading through crisis events. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues
- Actively supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas
- Promoting a physical security culture for team members and guests
- Responding to and documenting security incidents in a timely manner
- Leveraging de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents
- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support
- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store
- Submitting documentation in the case management system for all incidents
- Understanding and using Target's video surveillance system
- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Physical abilities to climb up and down ladders, lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds, and work in varying temperatures and humidity
