Store Designer

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores is seeking a Store Designer to join the Retail Growth & Development, Enterprise team.

As a Store Designer, you will play a crucial role in driving multiple projects throughout all phases of design, permitting, and construction administration. You will work across a large portfolio and multiple banners with a diverse set of programs, translating brand design standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the design process, interfacing with internal and external design partners.
• Adapt site-specific conditions metrics and standards to store designs.
• Build data-driven scope of work with internal stakeholders, focused on servicing operating stores.
• Develop FF&E and Décor packages.
• Work with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and production of comprehensive design development packages.
• Create presentation packages to communicate design with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Drive and create Schematic Design Packages.
• Coordinate with Construction, Procurement, and Operations Teams on budget and schedule considerations and value engineering efforts.
• Manage consultants throughout all phases of design through the project lifecycle.
• Provide Construction Administrative support as needed.
• Archive completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings.
• Obtain landlord approvals per lease requirements.
• Review and approve submittals and shop drawings.

Requirements:

• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of retail or operations experience.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• 5+ years of retail, grocery, or customer-facing experience.
• Architectural or Interior Design FF&E Experience.
