Electronic Arts is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join the EA SPORTS NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will work on improving game performance, utility, and capabilities.
As a Systems Software Engineer, you will have a broad view of the game and engine systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Integrating primary technologies and features in a massive codebase
- Improving memory, load times, and performance
- Debugging defects in development environments
- Automating tasks and enhancing workflows
- Contributing to core EA technologies
- Collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues to create practical designs
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of C++ development experience
- Experience with software engineering and architectural design
- Understanding of memory management, file systems, multi-core processing, and performance
- Experience with profiling tools, build systems, and source control
- Familiarity with codebases supporting multiple compilers and architectures
