Description
We are looking for Mid-level and Senior Java Engineers to join our Customer Experience Solution team at Adyen.
As an engineer at Adyen, you will be responsible for the full development cycle from software design to testing and ensuring everything works as expected in production.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain our distributed high-performance platform
- Be part of a diverse and inclusive team
- Launch fast and iterate often, bringing code live that impacts many businesses and shoppers
- Be fully responsible from initial design to bringing new functionality live
- Identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to make things happen, review code and be open to feedback
Requirements:
- Experience with Java, web services, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience with high-throughput and highly reliable services
- Proactive, taking ownership and striving for quality from both technical and product perspectives
- Excellent communication skills, explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Team player, knowing when and how to involve others to hear different perspectives
- Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and balance speed vs tech debt
- Enjoy working on a global product impacting millions of people daily
Nice to have:
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch
