K/1st Grade Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified K/1st Grade Teacher at Cleveland Primary Sports Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development
• Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Managing student behavior and creating a positive classroom environment
• Implementing school-wide culture expectations and communicating with families
• Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice
• Collaborating with colleagues and performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to properly manage confidential information and supervise students
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment
