Manager, Controllership (Regional & Insurance)

Grab is seeking an experienced controllership professional to join the Controllership team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for regional controllership, insurance accounting, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage regional controllership for a portfolio of regional entities, as well as end-to-end controllership for insurance and training entities in Singapore and Malaysia.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and regulatory submissions.
• Act as a technical accounting reference point on insurance matters across the region.
• Collaborate with various teams, including insurance business, actuarial, regulatory compliance, and country finance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Recognized professional accounting qualification (CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with a substantial portion in the insurance sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in insurance audit, accounting, controllership, or regulatory reporting.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with the Singapore insurance regulatory framework and the Malaysian framework.
• Practical experience with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation or ongoing reporting.
• Exposure to regional or multi-country controllership.
