Description

We are seeking an Associate in Treasury to support the management of Morgan Stanley's Asia-Pacific legal entities. As part of the Finance division, you will collaborate with business units globally to provide management, analysis, and advisory services for financial and capital resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across the firm
  • Manage individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools, and products
  • Adhere to the firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls
  • Prepare and review Treasury materials for key governance and regulatory forums
  • Manage intercompany loan agreements and adherence to local regulatory requirements
  • Analyze legal entity balance sheets to evaluate funding profile changes
  • Monitor and analyze intercompany balances and transactions
  • Govern new funding requests and special funding arrangements
  • Execute processes for reviewing limits covering lending between affiliates
  • Lead strategic Treasury projects, such as dividends, infusions, restructuring, forecasting, and optimization activities
  • Produce ad hoc materials in response to management and regulatory requests
  • Prepare and update policies, procedures, and regular reporting

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, adapting to various audiences
  • Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to develop self and peers
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to Treasury activities
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams globally
  • Proficient analytical capabilities, including summarizing complex business problems and solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
