Discovery Technical Operations Specialist

Anthropic's legal team operates at the frontier of some of the most consequential legal and regulatory questions of our time. As a Discovery Technical Operations Specialist, you will build and operate discovery operations across the full EDRM lifecycle, support active matters, and help drive information governance maturation.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and operate discovery operations across the full EDRM lifecycle
• Support the operational design and execution of the legal hold program
• Support and improve the discovery technology stack
• Partner with discovery team, in-house counsel, outside counsel, vendors, and internal technical teams
• Partner with Security, IT, and product engineering to support Anthropic's data landscape
• Improve and support the operational layer of Anthropic's information governance program
• Integrate AI and automation into the EDRM lifecycle
• Support active litigation, government investigations, and regulatory inquiries
• Design and build internal tools to streamline and manage critical discovery workflows

Minimum qualifications:

• Hands-on discovery experience across the full EDRM lifecycle
• A track record of supporting complex discovery operations functions
• Working knowledge of major discovery platforms
• Strong understanding of the Federal Rules on discovery and evidence
• Experience operating discovery across modern enterprise data sources
• Strong project management instincts
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical discovery and operational concepts clearly

Preferred qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on discovery experience across the full EDRM lifecycle
• Experience standing up discovery operations at a young and/or fast-scaling company
• Experience embedding with engineering or product teams to define discovery and information governance requirements
• Hands-on integration of generative AI and agentic workflows
• Technical fluency working with engineering teams and modern infrastructure APIs
• Experience operating information governance programs at scale
