Description
As a System Optimizer at Vattenfall Värme, you will contribute to developing and planning our heat and energy production to make it more sustainable, resource-efficient, and competitive.
You will belong to the Maintenance & Technology unit, which provides technical expertise, investigations, and support for investment projects and digitalization issues.
Your main tasks as a System Optimizer:
- Conduct analyses to optimize plant production from technical and economic perspectives.
- Work on long-term production planning and support weekly planning in close collaboration with the plants.
- Prepare decision-making materials such as profitability calculations and evaluations for plant development and investment projects.
- Support plants in the budgeting process.
- Perform energy mapping to ensure sustainable production in line with legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience of conducting technical and economic analyses, calculations, and optimization within the energy, process, or industry sector.
- Understanding of energy production and energy systems, preferably within district heating, combined heat and power, or related activities.
- Proficiency in simulation, calculation, and planning systems, with experience in BoFiT, Aurora, and PowerBI being advantageous.
- Engineering education in energy, process, mechanical engineering, or another relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent Swedish language skills in speech and writing, as well as good English language skills, especially in writing.
