Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support on Macau Operations, including products, distribution, marketing, claims, and complaints.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on Macau Operations
• Manage and advise on claims, complaints, and litigation matters in Macau
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and other documents
• Advise on intra-group agreements and other general corporate, commercial, and governance matters
• Provide legal advice and support on business projects and strategic initiatives
• Advise on consultations of new laws and regulations in Hong Kong and Macau
• Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory changes in Hong Kong and Macau
• Work closely with internal stakeholders in Hong Kong, Macau, Asia, and North America
• Instruct, monitor, and supervise the work of external counsel
• Draft, review, and update agreement templates
• Prepare regular regulatory reports
• Conduct legal research

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in the insurance or financial services industry
• Proven knowledge in Hong Kong insurance laws and legal and regulatory framework in Macau
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good commercial sense and business acumen
• Good interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset
