Description
Okta Identity Governance (OIG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to developing, designing, and maintaining Okta's Identity Governance and Administration solution, which handles critical workflows in enterprise identity.
As a Senior Engineer on the OIG team, you will take end-to-end ownership of feature areas, designing, building, and shipping high-quality features across the OIG system. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly features.
Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of feature areas from technical design to post-launch monitoring
- Design, build, and ship high-quality features across the OIG system
- Deliver high-quality bug fixes and handle customer-reported issues
- Write clean, maintainable code and uphold high engineering standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams for development and deployment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex features in production environments
- Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and data modeling
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent JVM/cloud-native languages
- Experience designing systems meeting enterprise reliability, scalability, and security requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills:
- Experience building identity, access management, or governance products
- Familiarity with workflow engines or approval/routing systems
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure
The annual base salary range for this position is between $136,000-$187,000 CAD. Okta offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, and paid leave.
