Process Development Engineer Assembly & Integration

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer for Assembly & Integration to join our team at AVL Tippelmann GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and industrializing assembly and integration processes for optomechanical components, modules, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and further develop high-precision assembly, adjustment, integration, and measurement processes for semiconductor manufacturing systems
• Analyze and optimize production and integration processes using statistical methods, data analysis, and modern machine learning approaches
• Develop robust and efficient processes, and sustainably improve process capability through data-driven methods and successful transfer to series production
• Develop and optimize production facilities and efficient process sequences in close collaboration with interdisciplinary expert teams
• Ensure the successful transfer of powerful processes to production, and their stability and performance throughout the product life cycle
• Define, agree on, and implement technical requirements, and control the development, implementation, and approval of assembly and integration solutions with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners

Requirements:

• A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Production Technology, or a comparable technical discipline, preferably with a doctorate or relevant professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of assembly, integration, and production technologies, as well as experience in data-driven process analysis and the use of statistical methods such as DoE, SPC, regression analysis, and process capability analysis
• Fluent German and English language skills in writing and speaking
• Outstanding skills in planning, communication, and stakeholder management, as well as high self-initiative, customer orientation, resilience, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Experience in developing assembly and integration processes, statistical process analysis, and industrialization, and ensuring sustainable process stability
• Knowledge of machine learning, Python, and industrial data analysis
