Description
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President - Cloud Adoption & Scalability to join our team at Barclays. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyse data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
- Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
- Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.

Requirements:
- Experience with managing change to data platforms, performing incident triage for platform issues, and performing root cause analysis on platform performance issues.
- Ability to manage cloud platform usage and costs, educate on the data platforms that are used across the businesses, and support users in accessing the platforms and adhering to the required governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technology into consumable business language.
