Description
Amazon is seeking an ASIC test development engineer to create tests and oversee production of its Trainium AI chips.
The successful candidate will be based remotely, with occasional visits to the office in Taipei, and will work on-site at various OSATs in Taiwan and overseas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hardware development for probe, final test, and system-level test
- Software development and integration for each insert
- General tool/script development support
- NPI engineering support for production ramp-up
- High-volume production troubleshooting
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance with strong overall debugging skills
- Experience verifying at multiple levels of logic from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing
- 2+ years of experience on Advantest 93K, Teradyne IGXL-based testers, or other system-level testers
- 2+ years of experience in C/C++ and/or Microsoft VBA/VBT and terminal shell environments
- Hands-on experience with Git version control tools and disciplined production test program release processes
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
- Experience with compilers, generating SOs and DLLs from large codebases
- Experience with test datalog and yield analysis tools such as JMP and Optimal+
