Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our research and development team, focusing on generative engine tools. As a senior software developer, you will work with developers and scientific researchers to determine how new technologies integrate with our main engine architecture. You will translate ideas from exploration into systems that can operate at scale in a real-time environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop game logic generation using generative systems and orchestrate generative tools, integrating them into the engine.
- Collaborate with engine developers to integrate creator-focused systems into the main architecture of our engine, creating generative creation workflows.
- Work with researchers, developers, artists, and designers to transform prototypes into production-ready features within the engine, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
- Contribute to various engine domains, including tools, data processing pipelines, and execution systems, to improve engine capabilities.
- Design extensible interfaces allowing rapid iteration of new technologies while preserving architectural integrity and developer usability.
- Determine how to formalize new technologies within the engine, influencing architecture and creator experience.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of professional experience, including AAA game engines (such as Frostbite, Unity, Unreal, Godot, or exclusive engines).
- Experience working with large C++ codebases.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Mastery of at least one engine development domain (such as gameplay, simulation, systems, content processing pipelines, and performance-critical systems).
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar areas of a large codebase and become productive quickly with various tools, processing chains, and execution systems.
- Experience working with applied research objectives to create production-ready features within the engine.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, procedural generation, contextual structuring, or creator toolsets.
- Experience creating agent-based tools and function calling mechanisms.
- Structured output and schema design experience.
- Contribution to engine architecture and developer platforms.
- Familiarity with IC/DC tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Flexible work arrangement (hybrid)
