3rd Grade Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 3rd Grade Teacher at Case Preparatory Academy in Akron, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritises student learning and social-emotional development.

Case Preparatory Academy is an award-winning public charter school for EK-8th grade students, offering a STEAM-focused college prep curriculum with robust student and family support services and strong community partnerships.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development
• Utilising research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Managing student behaviour and creating a positive classroom environment
• Communicating with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
• Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice
• Collaborating with colleagues and participating in non-instructional activities as needed

Requirements:

• Active Ohio teaching licence in the relevant content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students in various settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in an urban environment
